Service Writer/Advisor

Overview:
Grand Pointe Marina is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and coordinating unit maintenance and repair services.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document unit issues
- Provide recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance based on marine diagnostics
- Prepare accurate estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain open lines of communication with customers throughout the repair process
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the service department's workflow
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of boat/engine repair and maintenance procedures
- Proficiency in service writing, including accurately documenting unit issues and preparing estimates
- Ability to perform basic unit maintenance tasks
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
