Copy Writer/Editor Administrative Special Services (Arpa)

The City of Detroit is looking for a talented copyWriter/Editor who can generate engaging, clear, and concise messaging for the City's marketing and advertising campaign highlighting programs funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Your words will be a call to action for residents to take part in programs that have already been launched and those that are forthcoming. The copyWriter/Editor will be part of a creative content team that is responsible for producing marketing collateral, including but not limited to advertisements for television, radio, print, outdoor, and digital that adheres to already established brand standards. In addition to working with the internal creative content team, the copyWriter/Editor will also work with outside agencies contracted to develop the City's overall marketing and advertising campaign around ARPAfunded programs. The copyWriter/Editor will also be responsible for assisting with writing and editing content for the City's social media platforms.

• Successful Experience in developing both long and short-form engaging content.
• Produce high quality video and scripting content.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
