Job Description
We are seeking a Service Technician, Level 2 to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a basic knowledge of RF communication, electrical wiring, computers, and network systems. Position will involve the use of job-related test equipment and software, database entry, and problem identification/resolution. Ideal candidate will have strong customer interface and telephone support skills.
Responsibilities:
- Responds to telephone inquiries. Performs troubleshooting techniques and analysis of DFS SCADA control equipment/systems
- Investigates, configures and identifies defective hardware in the field including pump controllers, digital/analog signals, radios and power supplies
- Applies knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics, RF and programming
- Captures detailed problem analysis and specific resolution(s) in customer database
- Reviews work orders and related documentation to determine required tools, equipment and configuration for repair assignment
- Tests identified software and hardware issues in service lab to duplicate and present findings to development for collaborative resolution
- Some travel may be required for on-call support within the southeastern US (primarily in Florida)
Qualifications:
- 3 -5 Years of relevant experience in SCADA controls or related fields
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute on team projects
- Knowledge of computers, remote interfaces, and networking (familiarity with Linux is a plus)
- Previous experience with database entry and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 20-40 pounds of hardware (test equipment)
- Previous military, RF communications, and SCADA Systems experience are all a plus
