The Role
The Service Shop Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Service Shop and technicians.
Reports to Branch Manager.
Direct Reports: 3-5
The essential job functions include, but not limited to:
- Manage and schedule staff time and resources by preparing and coordinating job assignments and service calls to meet customer needs.
- Is accountable for the management of company-owned equipment which includes:
- Organization of the yard.
- Evaluation, repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Documentation for the evaluation, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
- Inventory management/tracking of equipment.
- Goal is to have all equipment available for jobs at all times.
- Management of parts and supplies inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all technicians are completing and submitting the required documentation for each job.
- Keep the shop clean and organized at all times.
- Coordinate and work with other branches to provide support as needed in terms of people and equipment.
The Requirements
- At least 5 years of management experience required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening.
- Similar industry/field experience preferred.
