Job Title:Service Mechanic Department:
Service Reports To: Production Supervisor
Pay rate: $21hr / $24 (Depending on experience)
Direct Hire: FT M-F 1st shift 7am-330pm
Location: Kent, OH
SUMMARY: Produce and/or repair tank trailers and tank trailer parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Operate tools and equipment and use safe work habits.
• Perform custom build/repair fit-up and welding assignments.
• Perform Electrical and Air Systems repairs and diagnostics.
• Review and interpret specification documentation and information related to assignments to assure product is repaired to customer specifications
. • Repair or replace material, drill holes in frame or body, install reflective tape, replace or repair suspension(s), brake replacement or adjustment.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.
MUST HAVES: WELDING SKILLS!!!
• Proficient in steel and aluminum MIG and TIG welding. • Demonstrated mechanical skills. • Proficient knowledge of tank electric and hydraulics. • Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings, prints and a tape measure. • Ability to accurately use and read micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments. • Demonstrated full range of tank knowledge and expertise.
