Job Description
- Manages employees and is responsible for hiring, termination and disciplinary actions.
- Prepares and delivers annual performance reviews with all direct reports.
- Works with other department managers and project managers to execute projects to company standards. Open, proactive, and effective verbal and written communication with other departmental and project managers.
- Sets an example for their department through actions and communication including needed follow up and active participation in meetings.
- Holds regular department level meetings to ensure effective communication, knowledge sharing, corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Assists in solving technical problems specific to electrical and mechanical machine installations and service calls at customer locations.
- Analyzes project scope, budget and schedule and assigns the proper resources.
- Supports department managers and project managers with technical knowledge which could be in the form of email, team meetings, customer interactions and/or escalations.
- BS in Business Management or applicable experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in Automation and Manufacturing/Machine Tool Industry
- Manufacturing / Machine Tool Experience: Managed a service group previously, working knowledge of project flow process including engineering to assembly to customer installation...as well as industry knowledge of the technology including interface, mechanical, electrical.
- Automation Experience: Conveyors, robots, washers, etc. Experience in integrating multiple pieces of equipment, dealing with automotive customers, and understanding the challenges associated in these areas.
