Description: "Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities"This position will monitor, obtain and maintain benefits for approximately 80+ consumers in services who are receiving funding from the 0208 HCBS DD Waiver. Oversee Social Security benefits, Medicaid eligibility, SNAP benefits and other financial assistance programs. This person will provide quality assurance and ensure timelines are met for the Personal Support Plan process for all consumers in services.
Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with reasonable flexibility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be capable of giving, receiving, interpreting and applying verbal and/or written instructions and directions.
- Ability to pass and maintain Flathead Industries training sequence, which includes but is not limited to, online courses, in person courses, First-Aid and CPR. Some travel for training may be required.
- Develop and maintain a positive and effective relationship with representatives of public service agencies and co-workers of Flathead Industries.
- Ability to maintain and secure confidential information.
- Schedule workload to meet deadlines. Utilize good time management skills and judgment in prioritizing and performing daily tasks.
- Work with members of management to ensure accuracy of required Personal Support Plan documents (e.g. assessments, Personal Support Plan updates, monthly checklists, protocol accuracy, reviews, etc.) and follow all required timelines.
- Determine and maintain eligibility for financial assistance programs through the Office of Public Assistance including but not limited to SNAP, Medicaid, 0208 waiver, LIHEAP and other programs as needed. Establish and maintain online portal access for consumers in services.
- Operation of computer, using word processing and data spreadsheet skills, as well as basic email and internet access skills.
- Establish and maintain universal documents and forms,
- Keep open communication with management to ensure effective problem resolution.
- Ability to become proficient, navigate, train and coordinate trouble shooting solutions for online HIPPA compliant statewide interface program.
- Provide training to staff at appropriate levels in regard to the PSP process and OPA guidelines

Requirements:
- The position requires education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and completion of occupationally specific training.
- Ability to pass criminal and other background checks.
- Possession of a Montana Drivers license and maintain a good driving record to meet the requirement for insurability to be covered by company vehicle insurance.
- Ability to successfully perform all the responsibilities shown above.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional, effective, harmonious, working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders, including but not limited to staff, consumers, community members and public assistance personnel.
- Ability to show critical thinking and positive decision-making skills.
- Ability to safely and frequently lift, move or otherwise handle items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to process information, effectively utilize necessary computer software and navigate your way around a computer. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
- Ability to write clearly and speak in public. Must be capable of giving, receiving, interpreting, and applying verbal and or written instructions and directions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
