Server/Waiter/Host

Upscale Hookah lounge in the heart of Los Angeles, Hollywood is seeking an experienced server who loves interacting with people, has great communication skills, and is experienced with managing guest expectations. Must be motivated and energetic. Must be proactive and not afraid of failure. Knowledge of Hookah menu and flavors (learned during training). Anyone applying can expect to work from around 6PM-1AM – Monday and Sunday. The position is part-time. (2-3 times a week)

This is a nightlife job. We are a restaurant/lounge. We have a very nice and welcoming staff.

Compensation:

Pay: amount discussed during interview + tips (pay is great)

Schedule: 7-8 hours shift nighttime hours 6pm-1am (plus closing)

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take and relay accurate beverage and hookah orders

- Prep or side work, making, delivering beverages to customers
- Ensure timely delivery of order and drinks to guests' tables
- Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or complaints

- Clearing and resetting tables in a timely manner

- Collaborate with the hookah team to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with order preparation as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience using OpenTable or similar reservation systems is preferred
- Knowledge of Square POS, Aloha POS a must or other point-of-sale systems is a plus

- Preparing bill and processing payments, reconciling daily cash transactions

- Proficiency in cash transactions and operating a cash register
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations
- Basic knowledge of hookah preparation and terminology is beneficial
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitate work areas

- Providing excellent customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries

- Cleaning duties, stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floor, moping floor*
