Matū is part of the extended family of restaurants that include Sushi Nozawa Group (SUGARFISH, KazuNori, Nozawa Bar,) UOVO and HiHo Cheeseburger. While all four are separate businesses, they share the same passion for great food and share many of the same founders and owners.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Matū is looking for talented and motivated individuals who are looking to fulfill 5 days a week to join our team and grow with us. We are looking for leaders that will fulfill a variety of responsibilities in the front of the house starting as the role of a Runner and develop into Servers, Bartenders and Lead Hosts. You must have a strong desire to work and lead in a high volume, team-oriented environment. You must have passion for hospitality, guest service and possess a high level of integrity. Matū is a company that strongly believes in growing from within and individuals brought aboard will have opportunities to grow.
This individual must have an eagerness to continually learn and grow while holding all others and themself accountable for responsibilities and job duties.

JOB DETAILS
- Matū is a non-tipping restaurant. Our team members are paid with a mix of base and bonus pay. This fosters teamwork and ensures a stable income for our people and consistency for our guests. Opportunities for growth into other roles including server, lead host and bartender with increased responsibilities and compensation.
- Position will report directly to the General Manager
- 30-40 hours per week
