Host/Cashier
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service or a related role is preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Strong sales skills and ability to upsell menu items
- Knowledge of brewing techniques for coffee or tea is desirable
- Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for calculating bills and making change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
