Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Provide food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to guests following company sequence of service. Ensure strong presence on the service floor at all times. Communicate orders, questions, and service needs with the kitchen staff. Check in and anticipate the guests service needs. Use POS (Point of Sales) system to place orders and close out checks. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Complete daily opening, running, and closing side work and maintain cleanliness of work areas. Must have strong guest and fellow team member engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance and posture in accordance with the Dress Code Policy
- Maintain dialogue with guests while being a warm, positive, and friendly persona at all times
- Set and reset table and dining area according to property standards
- Closing out checks utilizing POS and ensuring proper payment method for each guest
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beer and wine selection and non-alcoholic drinks available, garnish standards, and any daily specials
- Maintain complete knowledge of table /seat and section numbers, proper table set ups
- Adhere to all cash handling and credit card policies and procedures
- Complete all daily opening, closing or running side work throughout each scheduled shift
- Daily cleaning of FOH (Front of House) areas to include sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tables
- The ability to work within a team environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: ServSafe Certification
- Strong communication skills with customers and staff, both written and verbal
- Required Experience: Six months previous experience in a server position
- Preferred Experience: one to three (1) years Hospitality related experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willing to work long hours as needed
- Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
