As a Server System Integration Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Mercury's cross functional engineering teams to help drive growth within Mercury’s Rugged Enterprise Server System product lines.  Collaborate directly with Mercury's engineering development teams to define valid configurations based on product management product definitions (COTS) as well as customer needs for Modified Off the Shelf (MOTS) configurations.  You will be an integral part of the Systems Engineering team that ensures systems are built, coded, tested, and implemented according to systems specifications. This position offers the candidate the opportunity to be recognized as an "expert" in Server System design, integration, and test, capturing the full breadth and depth of the product capability.  

You will be a part of a dynamic, experienced, and highly skilled, full-service, rapid development engineering team.  We all work together to deliver our BuiltSECURE product line which includes our Rugged Edge Servers and our OpenVPX subsystems to our Aerospace and Defense customers. We are an agile team focused on delivering innovative, high-quality products to our customers on time and on budget.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performing system performance analysis and identifying potential implementation risks
• Supporting program engineering reviews in the preparation and delivery of technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders
• Managing the analysis of technical features of competitive architectures or solutions
• Collaborating with Product Management and Sales functions to address market needs through derivation and allocation of requirements to Mercury products or new product concepts and designs
• Providing an accurate assessment of the scope of work for projects and accurate assessments of progress
• Understand and address cost, schedule and performance impact and provides trade-offs for programs decisions
• Analyzing requirements and developing verification approaches to ensure that the final product meets all requirements before production release
• Manage the development of verification test plans and automated test systems to ensure quality
• Analyze test and verification data and recommend improvements
• Measure the capabilities and performance of new and existing products
• Generating major account technical proposals for both custom and standard products

Required Qualifications:

• BS or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience executing Systems Engineering principles and supporting traceability of requirements through validation, integration, and test
• Experience installing and configurating Linux and hypervisor technologies
• Experience with server subsystems and hardware components (i.e., RAID, memory, motherboards, BIOS, device drivers, FPGA-based firmware, etc.)
• Travel to customer and Mercury sites of up to 25% will be required
• This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Degree
• Direct experience validating, verifying, and deploying embedded computing systems and sub-components or rackmount servers
• Hands on experience working with diagnostics, system utilities, and industry benchmarks
• Familiarity with Server Systems architecture and understanding how to optimize performance, SWaP-C (size, weight, power, & cooling)
• Knowledge of Intel processor family characteristics as well as networking (Ethernet and InfiniBand networks)
• Knowledge of PCIe, SATA, SAS for I/O, Co-processing (GPGPU) and storage applications
• Hands on experience developing inputs (Feature, stories) for Agile development execution
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools
