SalaryJoin our Team! The James - Ferndale is a vibrant, luxurious, independent living senior apartment community that provides three meals a day in our beautiful Dining Room/restaurant. This is a wonderful community of active seniors and a pleasant working environment.
We are seeking to fill a Server position, to be assigned 4 8-hour shifts per week, Saturday, Sunday, and 2 weekdays (which weekdays is flexible / negotiable). Dining Room is open from 7am until 7pm daily, and shifts will be either opening or closing depending on need. Consistent schedule week-to-week is preferred.
PTO, paid holidays, and health, dental, and vision insurance offered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome and seat residents and their guests comfortably in the Dining Room
- Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Assist with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
- Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
- Assist in minor food prep.
- Complete side-work as assigned (dishes, stocking tables, rolling silverware, etc.)
- Take phone orders from residents and ensure timely delivery of meals when requested
- Maintain sanitation standards as defined by company policy and procedure while in the prep areas of the kitchen, as well as the dish area
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, as outlined in the FDA Food Code preferred.
- ServSafe training and certification preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.25 per hour
