Duties:
- Complete service requests from management and Official Catering office personnel
- Transport equipment weighing 10-20 pounds to and from agency sponsored events
- Prepare and serve food and beverages at events, such as office parties, catered lunches and breakfasts, retirements events, and corporate functions
- Prepare tables/chairs for meals including set up, tear down of dining venue and layout of linens, silverware and glassware
- Move dishes and glassware from venues into designated kitchen for cleaning
- Greet guests and provide excellent customer service throughout the event
- Take orders and serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner
- Ensure that all food and beverages are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly
- Operate prep kitchen machinery and equipment
- Prepare salads, appetizers, desserts, garnishments, and decorations
- Clean up after events, including clearing tables, chairs, venue, washing dishes, and storing equipment
- Comply with uniform standards
Experience:
- 3 years previous experience in fine dining / catering or serving roles preferred
- 3 year experience in culinary
- Active driver's license
- Knowledge of bartending techniques and ability to mix drinks is a plus
- Familiarity with coffee preparation methods is desirable
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to follow proper hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to obtain TS-SCI including successful completion of SF-86 + lifestyle polygraph
