In this role, you will be trained in evaluating (smell/taste) of different food and non-food products and work as a trained sensory panelist after completing the basic sensory training. Job Type: Part -TimeShift Available: 1st, approximately 3 to 5 days per weekCompensation: $19.00/hrPrincipal Accountabilities:Be trained on basic tastes, recognition of odors, texture/mouthfeel and aftertaste attributes of different food products/ingredients, and learn how to use scales to document sensory profiles of productsActively participate in all aspects of the sensory panel including training, attribute generation, reference discussion, ballot development, process finalization, and data collectionWork in a team environment and identify, discuss and describe sensory attributes and communicate/share observations effectively with the Panel Leader and other panelistsPerform sensory evaluation of different food and non-food products Consistently exhibit sensory acuity and generate consistent dataRequired Qualifications:Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employerMust be 18 years or olderAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) Must be able to consume sweeteners, caffeine or caffeine-containing foods and beverages Must not have any food allergies, including allergies to soy, eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, sulfites, or glutenMust not have any other dietary restrictions that may be aggravated by consuming any food ingredients or productTake and pass a series of taste/smell sensory acuity tests Reliable and flexible with changing weekly schedules Must be available Monday – Friday from 9:30 – 2:30 with unpaid lunch break 11:30 – 12:00 and paid mandatory clearing time 12:00 – 12:30Basic computer skills, including using meeting apps (Teams, Zoom etc.)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in working as a Sensory Taste Panelist Considered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
