We are currently seeking a Senior/Staff CFD Engineer at our Detroit R/D center. This position requires a passionate engineer with a desire to understand things in depth, learn why something is the way it is and find ways to make it better. About The Work
· Collaborate with domestic and international teams for design and verification of the flow and thermal performances of EV and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle components and systems
· Develop 1D and 3D simulation models to evaluate designs, identify opportunities, expose deficiencies, and then propose countermeasures.
· Work with our design and testing teams to design and execute test verification and validation activities
· Develop test methodologies, technical specifications and requirements
About You
· 3+ years experiences directly developing CFD simulations and strong skills in a CFD simulation package (ANSYS/Fluent preferred).
· A strong working and theoretical knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermal dynamics.
· Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and general engineering to parse designs and recommend effective countermeasure proposals.
· A proven track record of working effectively in a team environment and comfortable with a dynamic, fast paced work environment.
· BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Bonus Points
· Experience with Matlab, Python, or other scripting SW
· Experience in CAD modeling
· Experience in pre/post processing software
· Experience in designing tests
· Experience simulating complex fluid systems for automotive applications
· Experience working with overseas team member
· Mandarin language skill preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
