Senior Youth Program Director

he YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Senior Youth Program Directorto join our team!

As a Senior Youth Program Director, you will provide an impactful member experience by developing and maintaining Youth Program operations for the branch. You will ensure high-quality member-focused programs through innovative program development, evaluations, and ongoing staff training.

In this position, you will be responsible for the creation, planning, and evaluation of Youth, Teen, and family programs; including dance, youth sports, and Late Nite programs. You will maintain great internal and external member relationships and deliver a successful member experience through programs and engagement as outlined in association standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote Youth Programs and/or membership growth for the YMCA.
• Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate special events and activities.
• Provide data and reports as required for assigned programs.
• Collaborate with the Association Operational Focus Groups and other directors of YMCA PKC branches to ensure consistent association-wide programming.
• Develop and maintain collaborations with agencies in the community to promote volunteer development.
• Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
• Develop and control department budgets related to the position.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers in assigned areas.
• Facilitate communication and provide leadership.
• Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent (preferred).
• Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency (preferred).
• Knowledge of and experience in directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising (preferred).
• Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
• YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification (preferred).
• YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid, and Oxygen certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

Compensation: $67,724.80 to $69,724.80 per year, depending on qualifications

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Location: Haselwood Family YMCA, Silverdale, WA
