Position Summary:
Job will require individual to perform material movements, picking components for production work orders, cycle counting, internal delivery of materials to end users, packaging of outbound shipments, maintaining cold storage inventories of battery products and the proper packaging of those products. Must perform computer system transactions that include purchase order receipts, bin location transfers, work order issues, material cost transfers, etc. Additional duties may include the operation of the company box truck to move materials from one building location to another, or other local moves. Some cross-training may be required in the receiving and shipping departments. In addition, employees are expected to train other employees or new hires in procedures and processes they are competent in, as part of your normal job responsibilities. The above requirements are not all inclusive, and additional tasks could be assigned as needed to support production and facility needs.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
1.
Properly locate and move inventory, pick inventory for production work orders and requisitions, cycle count, and enter all subsequent transactions into inventory system.
2.
Operation of forklifts, box truck, pallet jacks, mobile pickers, scales, and other inventory equipment.
3.
Package and maintain cold storage inventory of battery products.
4.
Generate and maintain spreadsheets for reporting needs.
5.
Communicate effectively with all departments to accomplish company goals.
6. Strong familiarity with the fundamentals of inventory transactions – outside of – and in addition to - the normal barcode scanning system.
Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION
High school diploma.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 plus years warehousing / inventory control / receiving.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Basic math, communication, problem solving, computer knowledge and ERP software experience. Use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Forklift operation. Hazmat certification is a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with Microsoft Navision. Box truck operation (CDL not required). Familiarity with the use of barcode systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
