Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and manage the underwriting operations as we grow in an emerging, exciting segment of the Medical Stop Loss market
- Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business
- Develop, and maintain relationships with agents and brokers in support of business acquisition and retention
- Work with customers and distributors to determine their (re)insurance related needs and to provide solutions
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5+ years’ experience of Medical Stop Loss underwriting experience
- Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories
- In-depth knowledge of Medical Stop Loss line of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
- Previous experience with Medical Stop Loss captives is preferred but not required
- Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis and win-win negotiating
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with all areas related to the captive functions, including underwriting, program management, carrier management as well as producers and employers
- Ability to effectively assess risk

- Second: Video Conference/Onsite Visit with Hiring Manager
- Third: Video Conference/Onsite Visit with Team Members
