Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer
Description: Garud Technology Services, Inc. (GTS) is seeking a Senior Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer to support the U.S. Border Patrol’s Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. We are seeking for an energetic self-starter individual who is focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by an interdisciplinary, collaborative team. The candidate will join our T&E Team and provide full-time support. This position qualifies for teleworking, but client may require in-person meetings in their location in Washington, D.C. Remote work can be accommodated with customer's approval and coordination. Some travel within the United States will be required.

Responsibilities:
The T&E Engineer will work with other systems engineers, program managers, and technical subject matter experts to plan, execute technology demonstrations, system development testing, operational testing, operational assessment, and other T&E related activities, as well as data analysis and reporting of test and evaluation events.
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Leading or supporting the planning, execution, data collection, and reporting of technology demonstrations, system acceptance tests, and other technology and/or systems evaluation and assessment efforts
- Leading or supporting the development of engineering plans and artifacts including:
- Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
- Testing and Evaluation Gate Reviews (TEGR)
- Test case / scenario designs
- Systems Engineering Plans (SEP)
- Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
- Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
- Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Participating in or leading T&E IPTs and/or working groups
- Participating in program-level review boards, including engineering, configuration, risk, and test review boards
- Coordinating and tracking project activities and status and provide status reporting and recommendations to the customer
- Additional responsibilities include training and managing test team in test and evaluation activities and assisting in the development of policies and procedures designed to streamline test and evaluation activities
Qualifications
- Senior Level - STEM BS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR MS degree in Systems Engineering and 7 years relevant experience.
- Experience in developing, executing T&E strategy and plans in support of large, complex programs
- Knowledge of DHS or DoD acquisition life cycle framework and systems engineering life cycle (SELC) framework
- Knowledge of a broad spectrum of technical fields and engineering disciplines
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and leadership skills
- Flexible in adapting to change, and a strong desire to learn and acquire new skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, independent performer who can perform well in a collaborative, team environment

- and current CBP Public Trust Clearance (Required)
Location
In-person. Client site is in the Washington, DC area.
Travel
Travel is required (less than 25%, approximately).
Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements
An existing and currently valid CBP Public Trust or higher clearance is desired.
Applicants must be a US citizen and successfully complete a CBP Public Trust Background Investigation (BI).
Position Availability
Immediate Fill – This is a funded position.
Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
