Description
SAIC is looking for a Senior AEGIS Test Analyst in the DC Area area for a hybrid remote role.
As an AEGIS Test Analyst, the candidate will support Test and Evaluation (T&E) of U.S. Navy surface ships and weapon systems for Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems Test & Evaluation Division (PEO IWS 1TE). Your work will contribute to the success for AEGIS Class Ships by developing coordinated test strategies for successive capability builds that are derived from documentation such as Critical Operational Issues (COI), Capability Development Document (CDD), or other source documents. Through coordination with the Chief Development Tester (CDT) and other organizations the Test Analyst will be responsible to construct and deliver a Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) as part of a T&E Acquisition program that falls under DOD Oversight list outlined in DoDI 5000.89. The overall plan will also include resource coordination and budgeting through applicable OPNAV activities.
The ideal candidate will provide senior level support to the Aegis Chief Development Tester that manages Developmental Testing (DT), Integrated Testing (IT), and works with Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OPTEVFOR) and Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) for Operational Testing (OT). The T&E Engineer will provide or assist in providing a DT plan that assesses System ability to achieve thresholds in capabilities documents, projects cost, performance and schedule tradeoffs, and meets criteria of FOT&E and IOT&E. Support will also include filling in for/representing the CDT in various forums to further test campaign. Technical knowledge of the AEGIS Weapon System, first-hand knowledge of the CDT's position on various issues, and continuous communications with Program Office stakeholders and Warfare Centers are all essential. Work will generally be independent and checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review by the CDT. The ideal candidate will have a background in Integrated Evaluation Framework translating requirements into testable scenarios. Administrative skills to document and compile many sources into a coherent unified document is as critical to success in the job as the technical knowledge.
