We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our eBook Central team in Ann Arbor, MI. The Senior Software Test Engineer develops and automates test cases, executes automated test scripts, analyzes failure points and fixes automation code. The Senior Software Test Engineer also performs manual testing as needed, documents issues found during testing and works on the fixes delivered.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Computer Science
- At least 2 years of related Quality Assurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience in designing, implementing and executing automated tests and clearly documenting results.
- At least 2 years’ experience with some of the following language/tools: Java, Selenium, Dart, Cucumber (BDD)
- At least 1 year experience with API testing
It would be great if you also had . . .
- Experience using Flutter
- Experience with mobile device testing
- Experience with security testing
- Experience with databases such as MSSQL, MYSQL or Oracle.
- Strong troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to break down complex issues with a scientific approach.
- Ability to comprehend business requirements and software specification documents.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Designs, implements & executes automated tests.
- Debugs and fixes existing automated scripts.
- Implements changes to enhance the automation framework.
- Configures regression framework to run against different instances.
- Develops, executes and maintains manual test scripts as needed.
- Assists in refining requirements and designs.
- Uses bug tracking and report generating tools.
- Communicates test progress, test results, and other relevant information to leadership and/or stakeholders.

Hours of Work
- Full time, permanent
