Senior Tax Manager

Senior Tax Manager needed to head up a team for a growing West Palm Beach CPA firm - Compensation $130k plus 100% paid medical benefits, 401k, PTO, Sick and Paid Holidays
What you will do?

• Supervise, manage and train a Tax Preparation Team of up to 10 in preparing business and individual tax returns.
• Direct and manage workflow and assign projects
• Participate in team member evaluations and critical personnel decisions
• Implement standard operating procedures
• Identify potential tax problems areas and propose solutions to clients
• Manage multiple tax and accounting projects and client engagements – communicate with partners, staff & clients regarding expectations, status of engagement and other matters as needed
• Analyzes/Reviews IRS notices and drafts responses – audits and inquiries
• Consult with clients as needed on special projects
• Support the firm by participation in committees, training, recruitment & proactive involvement in planning for the future
• Participate as a member of the firm and develop positive working relationships with team members
• Follow all applicable policies and procedures

Experience you must have:

• Preparing and reviewing individual and small business tax returns with various schedules and multi-state returns.
• Reviewing financial statements
• Software such as Drake Tax, Grutnworx, ProConnect, Intuit and ATOM

Requirements:

• MUST be a CPA or EA
• Min 5+ years of recent TAX and ACCOUNTING experience with a public accounting firm
• Expert in QuickBooks – desktop and online
• Microsoft Office proficiency and Google Docs and Sheets
• Superior communication and people skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Technical knowledge of accounting and tax concepts
• Self-motivated
• Strong analytical and research skills
