Essential Functions:
- Preparation and initial Review of 1041 Trust and Estate income tax returns
- Preparation of fiduciary accountings, knowledge of state statutes & familiarity with document
- review as it applies to a fiduciary accounting
- Analyze tax issues and come to conclusions.
- Perform diversified accounting, and tax assignments under the direction of a Senior Manager or partner
- Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
- Meet time constraints and client deadlines
- Participate in firm training courses to further develop technical skills; ability to train others
- Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround and attentive service
- Ability to develop and maintain client and referral relationships.
Qualifications:
- Must have fiduciary experience; law firm or trust department experience will be considered.
- 8+ year’s experience in preparation and review of 1041, 706 and 709 returns, high net worth 1040 preparation and planning affecting estate and gift tax returns.
- Trust department or accounting firm family private office fiduciary tax and/or administration experience would be considered
- Experience with preparation and review GST issues associated with 706, 709, 706-GS (D) and 706 GS (T) filings.
- In additional to CPA, the following designations are strongly preferred EA, CFTA CFP,PFS, and PFP
