Overview:
Our Tax department is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join their team! This is an ideal position for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering strategic value in a collaborative and supportive environment. The Senior Tax Analyst will work directly with other tax members on the core function of the department: tax reporting, compliance and planning. This position will report to the Federal Senior Tax Manager but will provide support to the entire tax department.
Responsibilities: RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for preparation and/or review of various federal, U.S. international reporting forms, and state returns, including supporting calculations
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reporting to ensure compliance with ASC 740
- Assist in identifying, reviewing and tracking uncertain tax positions
- Review, analyze consequences, and ensure compliance with law changes
- Calculation and preparation of quarterly estimated payments and annual extensions
- Performance of all necessary research and analysis in areas of responsibility
- Prepare responses to, and review and analyze federal audits and notices
- Assist with internal controls compliance
- Support and implement process improvement initiatives within the Tax Dept.
- Build and strengthen working relationships across business teams to communicate tax requirements
- Assist with the preparation of cash tax forecasts
- Assist with special projects, studies and analysis as required
- Analyze tax accounts to ensure proper control over tax payments and credits
- Coordinate with external advisors as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of tax experience in either public accounting or a corporate tax department.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Experience with corporate tax software (Corptax, OneSource, etc.) and tax research products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel .
- Knowledge of SAP and HFM a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
