Senior Systems Engineer
This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a creative problem solvers for the Synergy Firmware team who can collaboratively solve some formidable architecture, system design, security problems by helping to define and deliver the next gen architecture for HPE’s Integrated Lights Out BMC (iLO). A successful candidate for this role will have a key influence in defining how HPE scopes, builds, and delivers this firmware. In addition, experienced with compiled languages such as C, C++. This is a hands-on role in a high performing team where we will focus on delivering value, as well as troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 6-10 years experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
• Experience with low-level hardware programming and protocols
• Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
• Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.

• Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
