The Sr. System Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft solutions and other core applications. The incumbent should have excellent networking knowledge and exhibit strong project management and communication skills.
- Lead resource for the design, configuration and implementation of Microsoft related products as well as departmental applications. These technologies include but not limited to: Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, Azure AD, and ADFS. Ensures applications integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure of the company.
- Maintain and upgrade Active Directory and related components including DHCP, DNS, File, and Print Services.
- Responsible for backup and restoration of Windows infrastructure.
- Drive exposing common demands as services through automation and self-service. Administration of all supported versions of Microsoft IIS web servers.
- Administer our internal and external web site security certificates.
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on engineering projects, overseeing the workflow of others and being accountable for the outcome of the project.
- Responsible for maintaining and upgrading systems as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 10 years of progressive technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Microsoft Certification preferred with relevant practical experience.
- Scripting and automation utilizing PowerShell is required.
- Backup experience with EMC data deduplication, backup and recovery solutions; Data Domain, Rubrik and Networker is a plus.
- Expert knowledge in all supported versions of Microsoft. These include but not limited to designing and implementing Exchange Server and Active Directory.
- Server virtualization and storage experience is a plus.
- Must have excellent organizational, communications, and project management skills.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
