POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Northeast Bank Information Technology team, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the department. This position is responsible for managing the Bank’s infrastructure, hosted network services, virtual and physical server appliances, operational services and software, application performance, and system uptime. The ideal candidate will also support LAN/WAN connectivity between local and remote sites that utilize encrypted tunnels via DMVPN, servers, switches, and routers. In addition, this role will be providing support to the Bank’s users via shared helpdesk queues, participating in standing meetings, and performing project related tasks. This role will be a key contributor to the Bank’s network and domain administration including routers, switches, certificates, GPO, registry, deployment tools, automation technologies, and control environment systems/services. The ideal candidate for this role should have extensive technical knowledge and experience with supporting and maintaining a broad spectrum of technologies, applications, and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adherence to the Bank’s regulatory commitments, guidelines, recommendations, and initiatives
  • Adherence to Information Security policies, initiatives, and responsibilities.
  • Provide administration and management of virtual servers and appliances, VOIP, Exchange Online, O365, and other SaaS environments.
  • Provide administration and management of network infrastructure, configurations, adherence to best practices and industry security standards.
  • Installations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of hardware and software across the environment.
  • Review resource monitoring, performance tuning, and scaling of infrastructure nodes. Coordinate changes as needed with third party vendor. Implement and engineer solutions based on business needs.
  • Maintain and support a mix of vendor equipment.
  • Decrease downtime, support risk mitigation initiatives, and vulnerability remediations.
  • Provide technical expertise needed to resolve complex issues.
  • Be an escalation resource for internal IT members and other business units.
  • Create and maintain documentation and ensure that documentation is always current and properly reflects the Bank’s infrastructure details.
  • Successfully pass technical and regulatory examinations required by the Company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years of prior work experience with server, network, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with core systems like Jack Henry, FIS, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple areas including Windows and Linux operating systems, virtual appliances
  • Advanced knowledge of networking technologies (route, switch, DMVPN, SDWAN, etc)
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud and SaaS technologies (M365, Azure/Entra, vendor-specific, etc)
  • Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and diagramming skills.
  • Attention to detail when creating technical documentation.
  • Knowledge about banking compliance and the regulatory responsibilities around information security best practices required.
  • Positive attitude, customer oriented, and good communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to function as a team member for multiple simultaneous activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:

  • Must be reachable and available for emergencies that may occur outside of business hours
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Reliable transportation, some travel is required.
  • Work unpredictable hours including Saturday.
  • Work 1 Saturday morning per month for on-call responsibilities.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud due to the computer systems in the facility.
  • Must express or exchange ideas and meaning with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and vendors.
