- Executing, coordinating and/or managing all aspects of the systems development life cycle. This will include, but not limited to, planning, requirements gathering, analysis, design, system configuration, testing, and creating and executing detailed test plans
- Organizing and planning project work, to include the development project plans and contributing to the development of roadmaps
- Development of recommendations to improve processes and/or application systems
- Leading or guiding analysts through project work, providing guidance and mentorship. (Proven leadership qualifications are essential)
- Ability to communicate with associates and management at all levels of the organization, including the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or information systems (or equivalent financials degree with specific relevant experience)
- Minimum 7 years experience in direct support of financial processing, financial applications and financial automation improvements
- The ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, including the ability to pivot as necessary to successfully drive projects to completion as priorities shift and user expectations evolve is essential to succeed in this position.
- Understanding of financials concepts, and financials processing and controls
- Experience supporting large scale Financials applications (including system design and configuration experience) and an understanding of financial concepts.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and manage multiple system projects at one time
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Extensive project organization, coordination and management experience with systems related projects
- Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with Workday Financials
- Understanding of, and experience with, change management processes and communication
- The ideal candidate(s) will be able to work independently given general direction and also thrive in a team environment that is constantly changing.
- Grade will be assigned commensurate with experience and skills of selected candidate.
- This position requires an aptitude test which will be considered as part of candidate evaluation.
- This hybrid position reports to Chevy Chase, MD.
