SUMMARY

Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Senior System Administratorfor the MAGTF Logistics Support Systems (MLS2) contract.  This contract is for the sustainment of the USMC's IT systems used to deliver material or logistics services in a forward deployed environment. Work will be primarily accomplished remotely but will require access to a secure government work site in the Kansas City area.  Work will be primarily accomplished remotely but will require access to a secure government work site in the Kansas City area.

ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Serves as a technical expert in areas relevant to the project.
• Must be capable of demonstrating experience in conducting analysis and developing solutions and in the application of information technology.
• Produces and reviews technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of specific technical areas.
• Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency.
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend Maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)

• Bachelor's degree (Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science)
• 10 years experience as a System Administrator.
• Linux experieince.
• Security+ Certification.
• Must possess or be able to attain a DoD Secret security clearance, requires U.S. citizenship.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information; make appropriate judgements and evaluate options.
• Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).

Preferred

• Red Hat Cetification
• Master's degree.
• Secret clearance
• USMC logistics information systems experience
• Cloud experience
• CISSP

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
