Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator (NREN) to work in the Norco, California area. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of May 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Provide local IM and customer service operations and support services and assist the Activity Contract Technical Representative for the Naval Network Environment (NNE) with the management and execution of the NNE contract within the IT Systems
- Develop and maintain compliant business information systems through project management and system engineering
- Software development functions include: requirements identification, analysis, design, test/quality assurance, risk management, configuration management, documentation, accreditation, and life-cycle maintenance
- Maintain all internal and external websites hosted by the IT Division, including the interface and maintenance of databases which feed intranet pages
- Ensure that all customer-facing websites have a user-friendly and visually appealing interface to assure a satisfactory user experience
- Define a software development approach appropriate for the computer software effort and ensure it is documented in a Software Development Plan (SDP)
- Support the development of a centralized service desk that includes customer self-help services, online support services and customer representative services, and account management
- Provide desktop support services, troubleshooting, problem definition, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of IT systems
- Develop documentation as required to accomplish tasks using current systems and tools in use
- Provide customer desk side support services for end-users and customer work center environments; desk-side assistance to resolve customer incidents; and locally resolve systems account and access management issues to meet customer requirements
- Load approved add-on applications to the workstation baselines
- Support equipment installs, moves, add-ons and change requests
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain end-user devices and peripherals
- Provide services for inventorying and tracking IT assets, and inventory management reports within the asset tracking system in use
- Record, process, and monitor all incidents, problems, inquiries, change, and service requests within ITSM tools and systems provided
- Coordinate new capabilities through an actionable service catalog and support other ITSM functions emerging requirements
- Provide ITSM dashboards in order to visualize the status and performance of all existing and historical ITSM service tickets
- Provide wireless device management including inventory, call accounting and billing for all communication devices (cell phones, Mi-Fis, iPads, air cards), and non-cellular services
- Support the Telecommunication Manager with base phone accounting, records, and analysis
- Other support duties as needed/directed
Experience/Skills:
- Must have10 years relevant experience as a system administrator
- Experience leading daily operational requirements of computer network systems, file servers, and web servers
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management
- Certified CompTIA Security +
Clearance:
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC'S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
