Position Details:
As Senior Supply Chain Optimization Analyst you will help an outstanding distribution network maintain a competitive edge by refining our distribution fulfillment principles and designing solutions for Supply Chain strategic initiatives. You will do this by developing Supply Chain forecast modeling to identify service and cost opportunities and creating end-to-end Supply Chain Optimization models as countermeasures. You will be a key member of the Network Strategy team and report to the Senior Manager, Engineering Design.
You Will:
- Gather data using SQL and analyze/transform it using R or Python; leverage mathematical models and machine learning techniques and tools to develop flexible, scalable network models; create and utilize what-if scenarios to understand, predict and improve logistics operations, architecture, flows and processes
- Propose, design, develop, and implement new prediction and forecasting solutions while enabling seamless processes from data manipulation to model outputs
- Summarize analyses to develop content and present recommendations to leadership and partners to gain agreement on priorities and investments
- Create model design standards and definitions to support development of department learning and knowledge sharing repository
You have:
- Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Mathematics or related fields preferred; or equivalent experience
- Experience building advanced machine learning and optimization models using R, Python, Julia and/or other applicable programming languages working with large datasets
- Demonstrated skills such as problem solving, bias for action, ability to multi-task, ability to influence and analytical background
- 3+ years experience in network design or optimization, consulting, operations planning, inventory planning, transportation, data science, or Supply Chain finance and analytics
- Experience or interest in anticipating, identifying and improving or solving gaps and inefficiencies in all aspects of a complex Supply Chain
