Sr. Structural Engineer
As a Senior Structural Engineer with a focus on heavy/highway civil construction and Structural Engineering, you'll play a key role in our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer. Here's your chance to:
What You Are Doing:
- Apply your extensive knowledge to diverse projects, showcasing expertise in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, steel, timber design, deep foundations, earth retaining structures, crane pick plans/rigging, and more.
- Conduct thorough structural analysis and design, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Generate meticulous calculations, engineering reports, memoranda, and design submittals.
- Collaborate with AutoCAD drafters to produce construction drawings.
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities in line with business needs.
What You Need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience. Bridge experience is a must, and a Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- A PE license (NY or NJ), with preference given to NY licensure.
- Proficiency in Structural finite element analysis tools like MIDAS or RISA.
- Strong command of Excel, Mathcad, and familiarity with industry codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Specification and Construction Manual, NDS, AREMA, AASHTO, and AWS.
- Active membership in industry organizations (AISC, AWI, RCSC) and ongoing professional development for PE License.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience on NYC/Metropolitan area projects is preferred.
The compensation for this position falls within the range of $150,000 to $200,000, contingent on your experience and qualifications.
