This role manages creative strategy and leads a team to create high-quality store design across multiple regions in alignment with functional goals and business results. The sr. designer collaborates with other studio leaders and design director to effectively lead and elevate design.
As a Senior Designer, you will...
- Lead design "studio" team members with consistent guidance and design direction that empowers them to deliver their best and transform the portfolio through store design.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of enterprise design strategy and standards, as well as regional trends and local market knowledge. Lead teams to translate into their work and/or appropriately influence our store design within assigned markets.
- Co-host formal design review sessions in collaboration with the studio leadership team and provide high-touch support for individual team members seeking design approval.
- Act as connection point between global concept team(s) and regional studio. Ensure two-way communication and collaboration.
- Provide direct design oversight for high profile and other influential projects that serve to elevate experience at key locations within assigned markets.
We'd love to hear from people with:
- Experience leading a creative team at a national design or development organization.
- Management experience with decision-making authority and accountability, overseeing direct reports and managing expenses.
- Interior and architectural design experience in retail, hospitality or restaurant design, working with design agencies and/or development organizations.
- Demonstrated expertise with verbal communication and visual presentation of high-quality design solutions in support of business objectives.
