Senior Staff Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior StaffSoftware Engineer to join the Business Identities. This team supports frontend, backend, and data teams by providing complete information about a business.
YOU WILL:

• Optimize Nav's customer experience, from first contact, through sign-up, and applying for loans and credit cards.
• Build and scale services that integrate with banking data vendors, Salesforce, and other internal services. Our focus is on Go, but we support other services in languages such as Ruby.
• Architect, build, and scale services that integrate with and support other Nav solutions.
• Turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Help establish best practices within Nav's growing Engineering organization.

WHO YOU ARE:

• BS Degree in Computer Science, mathematics, or related field
• 10+ years of programming experience in a production environment with multiple back-end languages (GoLang preferred).
• A track record of successfully delivering maintainable backend systems in a Linux environment.
• Demonstrated technical initiative and leadership on previous projects, as well as a track record of mentoring junior engineers.
• Active interest in learning new paradigms and languages
• Experience building robust systems capable of handling the scale of all Nav's data.
• Strong expertise and practical knowledge in database technologies particularly in utilizing large scale databases in the cloud, which includes clustering, sharding and failure recovery of RDBMS, Key-value store, and document databases.
• Bonus: Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform

During the interview process, your recruiter will be explaining how our rubrics work across all of our total rewards ( base, equity, bonus, perks, and benefit) offerings . The base salary for this role is targeted between $140K - $170K per year. Final offer amount is determined by your proficiencies within this level.
