Senior Staff Accountant

Job Description

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
• Manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Assist with audits and tax filings
• Supervise and train accounting staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
