SalaryWe are seeking senior level SQL developer to join our team for a 6-month contract with our BNY Mellon information security team! If you possess expert SQL querying skills along with a good foundation of Python or Java programming languages, please apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures on MS SQL Server to support data retrieval and manipulation needs
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions, ensuring alignment with database structures and capabilities
- Utilize either Java or Python to develop and maintain applications, integrating them with the database backend as needed
- Work with ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the database, ensuring data quality and integrity
- Leverage Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics, utilizing its features and capabilities to enhance data storage and processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business use cases and requirements, providing technical expertise and solutions
- Contribute to the design and architecture of database systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of writing complex SQL queries
- 4+ years of experience creating database views and stored procedures w/ MS SQL server
- Hands on experience with ETL tools
- Hands on experience with Snowflake (preferred)
- Bachelors degree (preferred)
