Tableau/SQL Developer

Position: SQL Tableau Dev/ Data Report/Insight Developer

Location: Denver(preferred)/Charlotte/ St. Louis

Mode: Hybrid

Work Authorization: Non sponsored and EAD’s

Interview Process:

SQL Test and Tableau dashboard examples required

2 rounds

Job Responsibilities:

Writing queries against very large data sets in order to compile and transform the data they need to then create reporting dashboards/ visualizations in Tableau.

They need to know to write and optimize queries- they do not need to know database triggers. Need to now aggregation, windows, how to do joins, sub queries, CTE’s , temp tables.

Having knowledge of AWS

MUST have Tableau- not open to any other tools. Need someone who has developed in Tableau- more advanced.

Need experience with Excel

Soft Skills- proactive, someone who will own their work and can handle being in an ambiguous situation. Can translate technical requirements into actual deliverables. They will receive some direction but will really own their work. Someone who is borderline over communicative.

MUST HAVE skillsets:

1. Strong SQL query skills – must have experience querying very large data sets (billions of records per day) in order to organize, transform & compile the right data based on what the business is asking them to provide reporting on.

2. Must have experience taking that data and creating reporting dashboards/ visualizations in Tableau.

Nice to Have Skillsets:

1. Experience with AWS or another cloud environment

2. Hadoop/Hive experience

3. Git

4. Python scripting (PySpark, control scripts)

5. Linux
