Technical Operations Specialist – Grid CS Team
Position Overview
As the Technical Operations Specialist (TOS) you will be responsible for the field technical support of our battery energy storage systems installed in North America. Additionally, the TOS will handle the management of quality issues reporting and will concurrently support multiple projects. The TOS reports to the Technical Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will require an understanding of handling manufacturer product warranties and return material authorizations (RMAs). The individual must be able to identify clients’ needs, generate solutions and respond to customer requests in a timely manner. This requires the individual to have technical background to be a product expert and be able to support customers in need of technical support.
Primary Responsibilities
There are three key areas the TOS has responsibilities in. They are as follows:
ESS Commissioning and Support
Ensure smooth and thorough communication with and between customers and third-party contractors
Check on the status of project installations
Set up the battery system
Identify any quality issues and reporting those through the proper protocols
Troubleshoot component fixes and replacements
Manage the project commissioning schedule, including generating daily reports
Work with Authorized Service Company (ASC)
Train customers on installed systems
Field Service
Ensure smooth and thorough communication with and between customers and third-party contractors
Identify any quality issues and reporting those through the proper protocols
Troubleshoot component fixes and replacements
Provide routine maintenance as needed – SW updates and data collection
Coordinate resources, parts, and/or logistics
Produce Field Service Reports
