Job description

The Senior CPE Compliance Specialist role is responsible to ensure we meet mandatory professional education and licensing standards as mandated by NASBA and are required to provide CPA and financial services to our clients. This person will play a leadership role in mentoring team members to better understand NASBA guidelines and manage the risk controls for the firm. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate across multiple departments while delivering meaningful and measurable contributions to the larger firm, as well as our individual professionals. You will continually advise firm leaders on NASBA and state-specific criteria for eligible learning, participate in ongoing internal process analysis and deliver analytical reporting on key licensure dates throughout the year.
In this role you will:

  • Monitor NASBA, state board regulations, and all other industry standards related to continuing professional education requirements
  • Primary liaison and subject matter expert for CPE compliance knowledge
  • Maintain and improve CPE and related processes and communications to ensure NASBA compliance, state compliance and a positive associate experience
  • Collaborate with program managers to monitor and advise on all upcoming classroom activities to ensure CPE compliance rules are maintained
  • Provide necessary reporting requirements for compliance and licensure records during Peer Review, PCAOB and other regulatory inspections
  • Request, review and enter CPE information into Learning Management System
  • Lead vendor and state-specific compliance relationships and work with external vendors to resolve outstanding CPE compliance issues
  • Compile and distribute weekly and monthly reports with training participation and compliance statistics and activity
  • Monitor and enhance the process of awarding CPE for live events (i.e. code words, attestation process, check-ins) in accordance with NASBA standards
  • Manage the process for delivering external CPE certificates for CB clients
  • Mentor teammates to ensure knowledge sharing
  • Monitor and resolve learning mailbox emails to ensure timely resolution and maintain great client service
  • Manage annual CPE compliance reporting process and annual NASBA sponsorship renewals

What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 5 years of demonstrated professional compliance and licensure experience (NASBA CPE compliance preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, project management, and data analytical abilities
  • Passion for creating a positive and productive client experience is a must
  • Proficiency working with Learning & Compliance Management Systems (LMS) - i.e. Docebo, LearnLive and/or LCVista

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $88,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
