The Position
For our Cost of Sales and Inventory (COSI) organization, we are hiring a Senior Specialist, Cost Accounting to be based in the US (Jersey City). This position is part of the COSI organization, which performs end-to-end accounting activities of inventory/movements through our Company’s supply chain with the consolidation, elimination of intercompany profit of inventory, ultimately reporting the consolidated inventory value in our Company’s financial statements. This position will focus on accounting and analysis of various aspects of our Company’s Inventory.
Responsibilities
Support reconciliation of inventory at a local and consolidated level by identifying, analyzing, and following up on significant variances.
Prepare and draft various inventory related consolidation entries for above market team.
Assist in discussions related to Months of Supply at a product family level and use this as a key indicator of product risk where further assessment is needed.
Calculate the value of non-current inventory on hand and review this with the leadership.
Prepare various inventory related schedules in support of completing the Inventory Footnote used in 10K / 10Q and provide analytical commentary to management on large and/or unusual fluctuations.
Ensure the proper and adequate internal controls are in place following corporate procedures as it relates to inventory, includes liaising with internal and external audit teams.
Perform ad-hoc consolidation analysis to support business decisions.
Support rollout of harmonization processes and activities in line with our Company’s policies and procedures.
Complete inventory ad-hoc analysis such as FX review, flux analysis, & investigation.
Support S4 ERP implementation requests, as needed.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Three to five years’ experience in an analytical/ accounting role.
Willingness to take on responsibility, work in a fast-paced environment and meet reporting due dates.
Good presentation skills.
Goal-orientated, show initiative to learn and be adaptive to change.
Customer focus/orientated.
Excellent analytical skills.
High fluency in Excel.
SAP S4 Project Experience.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
Certified Public Accountant or MBA.
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiency.
