Spring Oak Senior Living is actively seeking to build a team of skilled and detail-oriented Construction Specialist who will assist in the upkeep and improvement of our senior living facilities located throughout Southern New Jersey. As a Construction Specialist, you will be part of a floating team responsible for room turns and ensuring that our residents enjoy safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing living spaces. The ideal candidate will have construction experience and possess at least expertise in one or more of the following: flooring, painting, and carpentry, along with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform room turning tasks, including flooring, painting, and carpentry work, to prepare rooms for new residents or to renovate existing spaces.
  • Install and repair flooring, including carpeting, vinyl, laminate, and tile, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Carry out interior and exterior painting tasks, ensuring proper surface preparation, color matching, and application techniques.
  • Utilize carpentry skills to repair or install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, and other necessary fixtures.
  • Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and execute maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Safely handle and properly maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and expenses incurred.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Qualifications objectives and Skills:

  • Proven experience in flooring installation, painting, and/or carpentry.
  • Solid knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques, including carpeting, vinyl, laminate, and tile.
  • Proficient in interior and exterior painting, with an eye for detail and an ability to achieve smooth, even finishes.
  • Strong carpentry skills, including experience in installing doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and finish projects in a timely manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and precise execution.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday- Friday

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour/ Bi-weekly pay schedule

Location: Travel required throughout Southern New Jersey

Experience:

  • Flooring
  • Painting
  • Basic Electrical work
  • Basic Plumbing work
  • Sheetrock and Trim work experience (Preferred)
  • Carpentry (Preferred)

Work Location and Environment:

· Must have reliable transportation

· Throughout Southern NJ servicing multiple buildings.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
