About this Job
Eridan is establishing its Software Quality Assurance team, and this role serves as a founding member of this team. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in 5G or related wireless technologies, Linux Operating Systems, networking and OS security.
A successful Sr. SQA Engineer will be able to be interdependent, collaborative, think critically, and provide insight and analysis to resolve problems and make improvements. Given our anticipated growth, a Sr. SQA Engineer at Eridan must be willing to learn new techniques quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. We look for individuals with persistence, curiosity, strong sense of urgency and excellent communication skills.
As our Senior Software QA Engineer, you will:
- Establish and oversee the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) process.
- Create and maintain the SQA infrastructure, incorporating automation tools.
- Collaborate with software, FPGA, and other engineering teams to develop SQA test plan and test cases.
- Execute the test plan and cases according to the schedule.
- Coordinate with 3rd party labs and or standard institutions, such as FCC, 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance for PlugFest and Eridan product certification.
Qualities of a Successful Candidate:
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science, EE, or equivalent field.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in Wireless product companies, spanning system, device, and semiconductor domains.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in product qualification assurance, particularly with a focus on software.
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems on embedded platforms.
- Familiarity with automation test framework and tools, such as TestRail.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies like Scrum.
- Proficient in software development tools, such as Confluence, JIRA, and CircleCI.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams with collaborative and interdependent approach, showcasing strong teamwork attitude and communication skills.
Preferred Qualities/Nice to Have:
- Start-up experiences
- Team building and leadership experiences
- Local and oversea team working experiences
- Experiences in software and or FPGA development
- Experiences in Embedded wireless communication hardware, RF, and Semiconductor
- Experience in working with 3rd party institutions, such as FCC, 3GPP, and O-RAN Alliance.

Salary Range
Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $140,000 and $165,000 plus stock options and benefits.
