Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Mini-Circuits' sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.Position Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer defines and integrates solutions for embedded technology as related to interface and control of highly integrated RF Energy products. Working with the design team, this position determines the best implementation of microcontroller, FPGA, and supported analog and digital circuitry etc. to meet market needs. This role directly contributes to Test Solutions for end products by tightly integrating with the Test Engineering team. using modern programming languages with a strong knowledge of RF Design and Test and is also responsible of releasing the end solutions with revision control and unit testing.
This role works on complex problems where analysis of the situation requires an in-depth evaluation, by demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and determining methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates activities.
Salary Range: $111,000 - 166,000 per year
Job Function:
  • Manages and drives the embedded software solutions, as well as support tools (GUIs, etc.) for the RF Energy product portfolio.
  • Hands-on participation in the integration of the software/firmware, working closely with design and test engineering,
  • Documentation for all functionality, user APIs, etc.
  • Educate applications support team for end product use model as it pertains to embedded feature set.
  • Deliver fully tested solutions with a goal of 100% regression test automation.
  • Cross-collaborate with Test Engineering (software and hardware) team, integrating firmware class building blocks into a larger RF test library.
  • Perform peer code reviews.
  • Participates in design review meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering + 8 years of experience in a related field OR
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering + 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • C, C++, C# Programming Language Knowledge
  • Object-Oriented Programming skills and basic design principles (C++/Java,etc)
  • End-user experience/mindset as pertains to API design and use model.
  • Experience with highly integrated RF Systems: application, design, calibrate, test.
  • High Power RF experience preferred but not required.
  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) in modern frameworks, preferred but not required.
  • C#, Visual Studio programming environment experience, preferred but not required
  • Project management skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build long-lasting partnerships with internal and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and a pro-active and hands-on mentality.
  • Team player and result oriented, being a self-starter with high energy.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
