Senior Software Engineer (Medinsight)

Position Summary:
Milliman MedInsight is in search of an accomplished Software Engineer to spearhead the conceptualization and execution of our business software solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will assume a pivotal role in the planning and implementing creative software solutions, driving value for our organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Solution Design:

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their business requirements.
• Architect comprehensive end-to-end software solutions, creating efficient and elaborate systems.
• Work closely with other engineers to collectively collaborate and build solutions that fulfill business needs.

Data Integration:

• Seamlessly integrate data from our data warehouse into our web portal.
• Create self-service processes so our data science team can easily create and update data in the web portal.

Security and Governance:

• Implement security measures and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
• Uphold unwavering compliance with data governance policies and industry best practices.

Documentation and Training:

• Create comprehensive documentation for use with other engineers on our team.
• Create consumer friendly documentation for our clients that access data through our API.

Collaboration and Support:

• Forge collaborations with data engineers and data scientists to offer steadfast data support for analytics initiatives.
• Play a pivotal role in the troubleshooting and resolution of data and software related issues, ensuring uninterrupted data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Demonstrated track record in the role of a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in a programming language such as Typescript, Python, Java, C#, ect.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to learn and master new technologies and frameworks quickly.
• Experience in applying data visualization best practices and adhering to UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.

Compensation and Location:

• The salary range is $85,000 to $173,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role can be located remotely within the U.S.
