Senior Software Controls Engineer
Location: Bloomfield, CT
Duration: 6 months With Possible Extension
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in the design, development, documentation, testing, maintenance and enhancement of either embedded or PC-based software tools and products, in support of Client products worldwide
Work with customers and suppliers directly and through Customer Support groups to ensure that the products meet or exceed customers' needs- Gather requirements through voice of the customer exercises
Architect, design, develop, apply, maintain, and improve software
Participate in and organize technical reviews of design, interface and requirement elements
Participate in and organize technical reviews of test plans, procedures and reports
Perform software verification and validation including software unit, module, integration, and system level verification and validation
Issue, analyze and resolve problem reports and change requests as needed high quality software products
Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent education/experience required
Master’s degree preferred
5+ years’ experience required

Generally, the work is for systems that are used by our engineers to develop or demonstrate new product designs or new technologies. These systems may be used by customers for their evaluation and verification work on these new product designs or new technologies.
The Sr. Controls Engineer should be capable of designing software using Simulink model-based-design.
The Sr. Controls Engineer should be capable of coding in C.
The Sr. Controls Engineer will need to use Javascript, and LabView would be a huge plus.
The work also requires unplanned support in our engine lab to create and support solutions to problems that may arise during lab development of our valvetrain technologies.
