The scope of the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager is to build strong relationships with internal business units and drive enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, contract negotiation and delivery of Real Estate, Workplace and Facilities-related spend categories. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance within categories, and manage and execute appropriate sourcing processes and procedures. This role provides leadership and direction in support of the company's Real Estate and Global Workplace functions for the Global Sourcing organization.
- Conduct supplier analysis, evaluate potential suppliers, and support the overall supplier qualification process; develop and create sourcing plans and category strategies, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents; evaluate and recommend purchasing and sourcing decisions to management.
- Candidates must have a clear understanding of WPS in a fast growing technology company. This includes but is not limited to worldwide property management (rent/lease), Build-outs, Security, cafe food services, software around all these functions.
- Manage, advise, and engage in the sourcing and contracting processes including evaluating, negotiating, redlining, and entering contracts or renewing relationships with suppliers
- Review spend analysis, assess and prioritize opportunities
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal results
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking
- Assess, manage and mitigate supplier-related risks
- Seek and partner with reliable suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Actively seek out industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences and online training, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor
- A Bachelors' degree and 8+ years of related sourcing experience in a high growth, dynamic environment
- In-depth knowledge and familiarity with the sourcing landscape specific to Real Estate, Construction and/or Workplace Services.
- Expertise in Workplace Specific Negotiations:
- SaaS and Hardware Technology, Construction, Food Services, Build Outs, Leases and other indirect spend categories
- First-class professional and interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with diverse internal and external resources and groups
- Excellent organization and time management skills to oversee simultaneously occurring projects, tasks, and deadlines
- Expert knowledge of office productivity, word-processing and various other computer-based or online website proposal software
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of RFP process and standard business practices and procedures
- Possess both strategic and tactical sourcing experience
- Ability to articulate category strategies
- Solid judgment and ability to make good decisions
- Comfortable negotiating and networking
- Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
- Ability to work independently
- Can-do mentality

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
- The estimated base salary range for this role is $128,000 - $178,500.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
