How you'll make an impact:

We have a terrific position available for an innovative, inspired problem solver to develop high-quality client software for Android devices. As a member of our Android Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to work directly on SiriusXM, Pandora, Stitcher, and brand new applications across mobile, TV, and Automotive platforms, impacting the audio entertainment experience for millions of listeners.

What you'll do:

You should have a strong understanding of quality Kotlin, Java, and Android application development and the associated technologies. You should come eager to help lead and grow our team of Android Engineers. You should place a high value on testing and emphasize quality deliveries.

What you'll need:

• 5+ years of Native Android development
• 3+ years with Kotlin
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.  Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Expert knowledge of developing, testing, and debugging mobile applications using Android/Kotlin/Java
• Released app(s) into the Google Play Store
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers
• Experience with latest open-source libraries and Google Android Frameworks
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Dedication to thorough testing and creating high quality software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Kotlin and latest Android features and technologies
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines - Flows and Channels
• Experience with Agile software development
• Understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Experience with Android Jetpack libraries is a plus

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $120,000 to $170,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
