Trissential is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with POS experience to join our client team in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
In this technical lead role, the Software Engineer will be an in their strategic functional area and use a systematic application of advanced technical knowledge to deliver software solutions using modern-day technology stacks.
- Serve as a technical lead for large complex projects consisting of onshore and offshore resources, using strong organizational and leadership skills to set and maintain efficient development progress, and define all software components for large-scale systems with minimal oversight.
- Will work independently or with limited supervision, translating high-level business requirements into technical designs, proposing design alternatives, coding and/or communicates requirements to junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Designs changes to new and existing applications - 35%
- Develops and debugs software in support of new and existing applications - 30%
- Project leadership, cost estimation, and task planning - 20%
- Mentors/coaches junior team members - 10%
- Provides support for production applications - 5%
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail POS.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Data Integrations at scale.
- Must have XML-based data exchange.
- Knowledge of Design Patterns - Microservices, Distributed, Offline architectures.
- Software Configuration Management SCM & CI/CD pipelines.
- POS Image & Data Store management.
- Must have development experience in C#, .Net.
- Must have database experience and development in Oracle. Good to have database experience and development in SQL.
- Use/Design of WebAPIs, Data Streaming (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

- Leads complex technology initiatives, including those that are company-wide with broad impact.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Educate the team on technology changes applicable to their domain and how to apply them to their business area.
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and company-wide best practices for engineering.
- Assigns tasks to both onshore and offshore team members to leverage strengths or enhance knowledge.

Hourly compensation range $65 - $71 per hour
Annual salary range $120,000 - $127,000.
