The Opportunity
We are a team of passionate storytellers, technology innovators, and agents of change. The Horizon Platform provides critical functionality and infrastructure that powers Adobe Express and will power the next generation of Creative Cloud Apps at Adobe. We enable collaborative, web-and-mobile experiences that work seamlessly together and meet the needs of both Communicators and Creative Pros. We need an experienced front-end engineer to help build the internal portal for this platform.
The Challenge
We are seeking a Senior Software Development Front-End Engineer to join a highly motivated and fast-paced team building a new creativity platform's portal that will help define the future of Creative Cloud and Adobe's Digital Media business! You will need attention to detail and high standards for design, code quality, and efficiency. What You'll Do
On the Delivery Platform team, we are creating an internal platform for our organization that provides real-time, personalized experiences and information about the platform alongside tools to monitor and manage our apps. We are also responsible for helping that ecosystem grow and scale by reducing the amount of friction org members face when contributing to the platform.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, vision, and architecture design for the front-end of an internal platform's portal that is used across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Own design and implementation of features for complex projects, including architectural and feature specs to drive customer success through delivery of high quality code.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to discuss and define requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop the portal platform's front-end tooling to empower teams to quickly build their own plugins.
  • Receive and offer technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews.

Ingredients for Success
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years demonstrated experience in building and deploying production web applications or interactive websites.
  • Demonstrated mastery in Software Development and debugging
  • Profound skills in JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with either: Spectrum Web Components, Lit.js, React/JSX, Vue, or equivalent UI frameworks.
  • Experience working with sophisticated application state, e.g. MobX, Apollo Client, Redux, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of web concepts such as DOM, canvas and WebGL rendering, web security, asynchronous programming, workers, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to independently deliver a product feature, covering the full cycle from requirements to deployment.
  • Must be meticulous and demonstrate initiative and high self-motivation. Enthusiastic, creative and positive.
  • A keen eye for visual and web design and a fervent passion for applying CSS and contemporary techniques to construct visually dynamic and interactive experiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $119,000 -- $232,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
